Who Has HRD Working With An ICOM 7600 & Windows 7
Maybe it's me, maybe it's Windows, maybe it is ICOM, probably it is HRD. I hate Windows but.....
For the life of me I cannot get HRD v 5.22.0.02 to work with Windows 7.
Connecting computer to 7600 via USB cable.
When using DM 780 and I attempt to adjust a setting in say, SSTV I am greeted with the following message ....
" Attemtping To Perform An Unsupported Operation "
What the heck? If the operation is unsupported why is the option to select it available to me????
I know they are getting ready to release HRD 6, but shouldn't HRD 5.22.0.02 work before they release HRD 6.
If I thought they could talk me through this over the phone I maight pay the support ransom ... LOL LOL LOL
At this point I am about to toss the entire setup out the window! LOL J/K

Transmiiting On SSTV
Low Power Out ------ ALC level is low
No matter what I adjust I cannot get ALC levels up.

Running HRD with Windows 7 here no problem. Sounds like you have an interface problem with your rig if you're having ALC problems. I wouldn't get too worried about the ALC but would want to know what the output is (watts). You don't want to see the ALC meter bouncing too much - that's a bad thing.
What setting are you trying to adjust when you get the error? Are you able to "connect" to the rig and have the frequency displayed in HRD? What interface are you using between the rig and computer?

I am connecting directly from the computer to the rig via USB cable.
Power Output is equal to or less that 50% according to power meter on radio.
I can connect to the rig just fine, able to tune freq, change modes and such.
So far only tried to transmit in SSTV using DM780
Another issue I have notices is on RECEIVE ...it is damn near 100% of the time saying OVERLOAD
Recevied SSTV images look bad, but cannot blame that on anything other than conditions.
I just got the ICOM 7600 and love it to death ...... I was impressed with rigs now having USB ports on them and figured they would make life easier, at least reducing the cabling situation.
I'll get there at some point, but it is frustrating.
I broke away from Windows almost 7 years ago ..... my last love in Windows was Win 2K.
Entire station is new .... 7600 / Notebook / Antenna / Power Supply
Been out of radio for about 3-5 years and decided to jump back in.
I guess I should have kept my old RigBlaster! LOL
EDIT: I have everything shut down for the night so I cannot say precisely which setting gets me that " Unsupported " error, though I have seen it frequently
I need to find a Windows 7 DVD and do a fresh install to dump all the BLOATWARE the dang computer maker put on the notebook.

I have been out of town and just returned this evening. My antennas are disconnected and rig is off so I can't bring up HRD to find what you need. However, there is a setting where you can easily adjust the receive audio so it's not overloaded. You can do the same for the transmit audio. When I get things back up and running I'll try to find it and let you know. As I remember it's at the upper left of the DM-780 screen where you click on some tab to bring the audio settings up. Don't quote me on that . . . I"m going by memory, which ain't what it used to be.
