Between him and the Gurkha who stopped a Taliban raid single handed by swinging a tripod for the GPMG (and I have carried that and it is a heavy piece of kit), the British military do well in civilian life.
It is a shame some local council boroughs do not feel them same for the veterans with PTSD and accommodation for them after.
There is a theory which states that if ever anybody discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. There is another theory which states that this has already happened.

Good show. CPR is exhausting enough with 2 good arms and a set of knees to balance on.

If anyone should be looked up to as a hero it is this guy.

A fine example of a human being, a fine example of British manhood, but what a pity that he unfortunately recieved such hideous wounds for what I regard as a lost cause, trying to make Afghanistan a decent country.

I'll bet it was a very nice country 2000 years ago.

We're interfering with their poppy production...
"America's quiet warriors are the legion of ham radio operators, 700,000 of them, who are always at ready for backup duty in emergencies – amateur, unpaid, uncelebrated, civilian radio operators, during and after floods and fires and tornadoes. After the 9/11 attacks, hams were indispensable in reuniting friends and families. Most recently it was they who expedited the search for debris after the Columbia Explosion , and right now, at this moment, they are involved in homeland security to a greater degree than you would want me to make public."

But the cause of the original idea has moved from there to another country. But that is detracting from the original post though.

Not quite. With several billion narcodollars being laundered via US banks and the likely main target being Russian addicts you can see why US mil are protecting those crops.
