My response to message #6 was deleted (Inappropriate remark)when I merely followed the train of thought of message #6 and now a personal insult you make is allowed to stand.

I thought QRZ was about class and personal insults were frowned upon (unless of course it is me?)

Those sons of *&*****(*, I just threw out my score sheet because I figured that I'd never see the results. Literally pitched it TODAY.

Hm, well, #3679 out of 5378...but 15th in my division is class category. Not bad for a desultory effort, but I guess this year I'm going to have to work harder at it.

    I can't complain. In class, I finished:

    6/18 in state
    11/42 in division
    155/544 in US
    323/1068 world

And best of all, no log errors.

Not bad for a 30+ year old rig and a horizontal loop at ~12ft -- and one very loose nut behind the mic.

Sorry, but that qualifies as a personal attack. Points have been issued.

I must be in the "don't contest don't care" group, especially now I'm mostly CW. On 30m at that.

The contests do not affect me directly - but the anti-ham, 'I don't give a hoot' attitude, the big laughs over how much they are going to enjoy screwing up other hams QSOs, the war on non-contest operation of any kind, and the dismissive attitude about PART97 and their fellow amateurs have got me utterly convinced.

The cover they get from the moderators here while they yuk it up about antisocial behavior and poor operating practice makes the situation much much worse, not better.

About like the ARRL providing cover for the WinLink lids. - A textbook case of irresponsible, degenerate behavior to say the least.

Shame on all of the parties involved. - And a lingering black mark of shame upon our fine hobby.

He's not worth the effort or keyboard strokes.

I didn't submit a 10m log but I am in there every year and it's one of my favorites next to the 160m that I don't submit a log for either. I'm an avid Contester who never submits a log but give it my all every time just enjoyable for myself.

Did not realize how few actually sent in a log. I know it's not a requirement. A few state QSO parties asked me to submit at least a check log and I did so. Should submitted a log to Rookie Roundup too as I would have a pretty decent score among my peers.

As for the 10m contest, they found some inconsistencies in my log which is a lesson for me to be more diligent, and I did OK for newbie status. Plus I had a lot of fun!
