The Non-contesters Are Not Going to be Happy...

The ARRL 2011 10 Meter Contest results are now available on the ARRL website...

There were a RECORD SMASHING 5361 logs submitted which more than doubled the number from 2010 and beat the previous record (2002) by 70 %!!!

Given the rapid growth of contesting vs the small growth of total licenses, it's only a matter of time....

The non-contesters won't give a rip. It's the ANTI-contesters who'll be fit to be tied. I suggest we start with gagging.

    Hmmmm,

OK, my 10 meter contest wasn't available yet, but my Sept 2012 VHF contest was. I had three "uniques"--all locals with a score reduction of "zero". I will be very interested in my 10 meter LCR when it is available.

Geez Burt, I thought that was the "Instruction Manual For the Human Female"! What gives?

If it weren't for threads like this Burt would have nothing to say
Okay there were more logs and a whopping 5361 logs. That's 0.7% of the US amateur ranks and I'm considering that all the logs were from US amateurs. So do you really think it's that great when you see the big picture of things? That's 99.3% did not submit logs.
You guys will do just about anything to justify and propagate your favored endeavor.
We have folks like that in California that will say or do anything to get their favored drug legal.
Kind of a strange comparision but one that's out there for the pickings.
    Have fun

If 99.3% of the hams were actually on the bands, the bands would sound like bedlam - simply from sheer volume of activity. But, they don't....

I wouldn't know about Burt--he is on my ignor list. I don't have time to read posts from a borderline personality disorder receipient--but, hey, he can do his thing and not bother me--that's the beauty of the ignor list.

Please note that for each of the 5361 submitted logs, there are several who participated and did not submit a log.

And, no, the 5361 were not all US logs. This was the first year DX logs exceeded the W/VE/XE logs.

73 and y'all might as well give in and enjoy a contest or two!

Well, since 10 meters is so close to 11 meters, those Rangers and other import rigs came in handy!
