Well HOA's, there shall be no laws passed that infringe on the rights of others, you should be secure in your house, property and personal effects and last but most important the highest law enforcement officer there is the elected Sheriff of your county.

And yes many will defend there rights to there "Last Breath" as it should be against tyrants who ever they are.

Can you explain it to us?

One thing that's always troubles me a bit is that people who live in the USA tend to forget about the "A". We're not the only "United States" in the world....

HOA's rules are not laws passed that infringe on the rights of others.

They are contract restrictions that the signatories agree to comply with.

Well I don't know about "the highest law enforcement officer" (what about the FBI?) but I agree with the rest.

However, I think you're missing a MAJOR point about HOAs: They are NOT governments, and they do NOT pass laws.

The way it works is that when you buy a home in an "HOA community", you sign a private contract which says you agree to pay the HOA fees and follow all of the HOA rules. You, as the homebuyer, agree to all this as part of the sale of the home. It's the same as when you agree to pay the mortgage company a certain number of dollars per month until the loan is paid off.

IOW, when someone moves into an "HOA community", they accept all the restrictions and rules and fees as part of the deal. Government has very little to do with it. In fact, HOAs can restrict things that no level of government could.

The Big Problem with HOA communities is that there are more and more of them, and in many places it's difficult to find a home that meets certain criteria that isn't in an HOA community. For example, in many places, almost all homes less than 20-30 years old have lots of restrictions - and there aren't many older homes for sale. Where I live, if you find two similar houses and one is in an HOA community and the other isn't, the unrestricted house invariably costs more - often a LOT more. Etc.

So don't blame tyrants and government for what people agree to in private contracts.

There's no difference between being a citizen of the United States of America and being a Citizen of the United States of America. Both mean the same thing.

You may think differently, but the rights and responsibilities of a Citizen and a citizen are exactly the same.

The definitions that people conjure can be trully amazing.

BTW, as evidenced by at least one post in this thread: there is no such thing as a Congressional Medal of Honor. It is Medal of Honor.

If you're going to honor the recipients, at least get the name correct.
