AND, if I am correct, you are legally required to carry "papers" on your person at all times whenever you are out in public.

Yes that's true. I forgot about that. I carry a card in my wallet. I've never had to show it.

If legal then let them decide how they wish to live as a free American Citizen or a sheep...
I'm still not clear on your exact stand about some things. I see some clear logical contradictions in what you say about property rights and the capitalization of "citizen".

However, I can agree to this about illegal aliens: they should simply not be allowed in the country. Legal aliens are a completely different issue.

It should also be remembered that it is only relatively recently in the USA that adult citizens have had equal rights under the law.

They are everyone's employees, not just yours.

I don't understand why you "sadly" pay taxes. After all, you use government services, and we all have to pay for them. Nobody likes paying taxes, but they're part of the responsibility of being a citizen.

Just about everyone in the USA has the choice to stay where they are, or move. In the days when slavery was legal, the defining element was that a slave could NOT legally move away.

Living in a HOA area is just like residing in a POW camp!

    No it isn't.

The folks in an HOA area can move away anytime they want to. All they need is money and the desire to do so.

POWs can't leave, and their sentence is indefinite.

    ---

A ham friend of mine, who is now an SK, spent 18 months as "a guest of the Luftwaffe", as he put it. Same prison complex as "The Great Escape", although as an American he wasn't with the Brits.

He said that even though there was the Geneva Convention, they lived every day knowing that they could be killed by their captors.

Their most precious possession was a radio, because it told them of the progress of the war, and kept hope of freedom alive.

Please do not trivialize what he and others went through as prisoners. Particularly those whose captors did not abide by the Geneva Convention.

Would you rather that they did away with the security checks at the airports?

I don't go to WalMart, so I don't know what they do.

    Jim,

I am curious, are you a citizen of the united states or a United States Citizen?

"Molon Labe" (Greek, King Leonidas to the persians regarding their weapons "Come and Take Them!").

There is no difference - except that "United States" should always be capitalized.
