Default RFinder The World Wide Repeater Driectory now supports DStar!

    Press Release
    05/23/2012
    From the QTH of W2CYK
    For immediate release

After attending the DStar forum in Dayton, it became apparent that there was a lack of DStar repeater locating options to the vastly growing population of DStar users. We at RFinder The World Wide Repeater Directory feel that all repeaters world wide, coordinated or not, digital or analog, radio-linked connected via Voice over IP should be in Ham Radio's first and only truly geo-enabled international repeater directory.

We are pleased to announce that by 2300Z 5/24/2012 we will fully support DStar in the directory. Western Hemisphere data is already loaded and we intend to have Eastern Hemisphere loaded by the indicated time. Currently we are loading approximately once a week but we hope to have a more quasi-realtime feed loaded within a month.

The WWRD Supporting DStar is just another step of making The World Wide Repeater Directory, it's third party applications such as RT Systems and CHIRP and of course the RFinder family of programs on iPhone, Android and www, Ham Radio's one-stop-shop for repeater data, no matter what the technology used for repeating radio signals.

RFinder is available in the Apple App Store for iPhone and Android, the web version can be found at http://www.rfinder.net.
RT Systems radio programming software for Window is WWRD enabled and can be found at http://www.rtsystemsinc.com
CHIRP is open source software and is WWRD enabled and can be found at http://chirp.danplanet.com

If you haven't got something nice to say then don't say anything.

In other words this isn't a discussion board open to varying opinions. If you disagree or take issue then you should "not say anything"??

Something about that sounds a bit one sided....or should I say nothing either??

no I want to hear both positive and negative about RFinder....the positive tells us we are on the right track and the negative helps us understand what we need to do to be better.

    Happy Memorial Day everyone!
