Are they sure it's a hole and not a bad seal? There are many connections on the refrigerant lines in a vehicle A/C system that can (and will) go bad. If I wasn't so far north, I'd fix it for you.

I agree! Given the age ?? of the vehicle,the climate where you live, and the fact that it worked last season I'm inclined to believe it is a seal or hose leaking. Unless struck by a foreign object the radiator" I assume he meant condenser.(located in front of the radiator) rarely leak themselves. My guess would be that the refrigerant level has leaked to the point where the systems low pressure cut off switch is not turning on or is cycling the compressor.

The Town Car officially has COLD AIR!!!!! ARTIC COLD!!!!! But then, for $207, it DARN WELL BETTER BE!!!! It was something called an Accumulator which was rusted out. FB! Now I am ready for the HOT SUMMER!

that's a pretty reasonable price. to replace the accumulator and recharge the system. sounds like a Tech you can trust

It would have been even more expensive if he did it himself, he would have had to been certified by the EPA, purchased (or rented) the equipment (Guages, vaccum pump, scales, other various tools), purchased the refrigerant, then the cost of the parts.
