No mute on TS-690S

Have an issue that just started. WHen transmitting USB on 20 metres, My external speaker no longer mutes. Not sure if I changesd a setting while trying to chase contacts but it started in the middle of a session. All of the other bands are fine. I have compared all my settings from 20 metres with the settings on the other bands but I can see no differences. anyone have any ideas?

A couple quick guesses since you can't hear anything from the receiver if you are transmitting..
RF is getting into it.
A monitor function is on, but usually a band change wouldn't effect that.

What is it that you hear while transmitting?

Check versus your dummy load and your antenna system.
