    Default kenwood tkr820 uhf repeater

    Can anyone tell me how to mod a kenwood tkr80 repeater to work on 440..its for our school club..thanks

    The legacy and surplus Kenwood TKR-820 Repeater requires the KPT-20 or KPT-50 for
    frequency programming and setup.

    IF you are using an external duplxer OR a duplexer inside this repeater --
    it MUST be properly tuned to your Repeater Frequency.

    Your local Kenwood Land Mobile Radio Dealer (handles first responders, law enforcement, business, government customers under FCC Part 90) should have equipment, and techniians that may be able to assist you -- in moving his repeater to the 70 cm (UHF) allocations -- and your repeater pair.

    thanks Glen..I have learned alot about our repeater today and think I know what has been giving us all the problems and how to fix it.. :-)
