    The Baltimore Amateur Radio Club Presents

    Opening Special Event for the War of 1812

    June 16 2pm - 9pm
    June 17 3pm -9pm

    This event is in preparation for the 2014 celebration we are planning for the Battle of Baltimore. We are starting off by celebrating the Bi-Centennial of the WAR of 1812 The Blue Angels will be flying over the Baltimore Harbor and the Tall Ships have started to come into ports here. We will run as many bands as we safely can depending on the conditions. As you work us we will announce if we are on 10M, 6M, & 2M. Hope to work you on the air. We will focus on 15M 21.360, 20M 14.285, 40M 7.181, and 75M 3.850 (+/- 20Hz).

    I'd think it more appropriate to "commemorate" the War of 1812, or perhaps celebrate the bi-centennial of the War of 1812. It seems a bit odd to celebrate a war that cost 10's of thousands of casualties and which both sides lost.

    But it sounds like a fun event and I hope to catch you on the air.
