Apparently, we want drugs illegal, as we won't legalize them, therefore WE condone what happened and we got caught. I hope he sues the holy snot out of the DEA and wins huge. Someone from the DEA MUST go go jail for this.
If I'm responsible for the DEA agents actions, something must be wrong....
1. I'm not his FATHER or Mother
2. I'm not his school teacher
3. I'm not his BOSS
4. I don't even work with him, so how am I responsible for HIS ACTIONS????
Something is wrong with that statement......

You all got your wish , he is filing a pain and suffering, lost wage claim. From the size of the claim he must make a lot of money. Lot's of lost wages.
Just because you disagree with me don't make you right.

What, $20M? I bet he sees very little of it after his lawyers and taxes take their share. What will be interesting to see is if the case will go to court at all--I bet the government will quietly settle it since it's a no-brainer that it's at fault.
So, say he walks away with $2M after all is said and done--he'll be set for life if he's careful with the money. Not bad for five days of a little suffering and urine drinking.

I'd stay in a dark cell with no food or water for 5 days for $20M. HEY!!! I would do it for just a FTdx5000!!!!
But don't count on me drinking my WHIZ! And there better not be any SPIDERS in the cell either!

Ummmmmm, how about not hanging out in a house with these kind of people Mr. engineering student? I don't feel sorry for him one bit.

Ah, did you read the story? Kid was not arrested or charged in the case. Innocent till proven guilty, remember?

Spend some more time on the idea of who the DEA thugs work for. Pay taxes? Vote? I was taught in school that govt by, of and for the people. Sadly, those misguided, deluded DEA officers are our fellows. Look, it makes me sad.

We weren't there we don't know what went on or how much knowledge he had of the activities of the others there.
Still...
This guy is going to sue their Butts off and win.
This is abuse plain and simple rather it's intentional or not.

18,000 illegal pills. No one ever overdoses on these illegal pills or other drugs right? No innocent person has ever been hurt or killed when some Jag Bag slipped illegal drugs into their food or drink right. People get shot and killed all the time in the illegal drug trade. Would you want your daughter of son attending that or any university to be exposed to that drug or any other drug? There is a good reason why drugs are illegal. No place in the article does it say he was just smoking pot. He got caught with 18,000 ecstasy pills and WEAPONS!!! Both drugs and weapons used by drug dealers KILL people EVERY DAY!!!
Maybe you should put that pipe down for a while.
Turn it around. Your daughter is dating a guy and he lives in house, she gets swept up in a raid and locked up, no charges, no contact, no phone, food or water. She's actually innocent, but gosh, all those drugs were there too. I guess she goes away 20 years too.
It's called due process, and there's a good reason for it.
The difference between a legal drug and an illegal one is administrative. But if drugs are so bad, then lets start by banning two of the biggest killers. Tobacco and ethanol.

I have seen 6 million claims settle for 50 thousand but from the information that has been released there seems to be liability. It will probably settle in mediation with a confidentiality agreement.

I dunno, since if you or I pulled this type of stunt it would be Felony False Imprisonment and Kidnapping, both of which are serious crimes. If I were that kid, I'd shoot for the guys who interrogated and locked him in the cell - they go to jail. Rest of office gets fired and banned permanently from ever EVER working in Law Enforcement again.
Abuse of power cannot be tolerated or we will turn into China. These agents need to be made a public example.
