Kenwood TM-281A with a TM-481 inside?

Just bought a new TM281A from Universal Radio, when I connected it and turned it on it displays TM481 and only have the 440 band available. No sign of the 144 band. All the literature that came with it mentions only 281A, the case is labeled 281A, but on the inside it's a 481. Just wondering if anyone else has had this experience. Contacted Universal and Kenwood today, awaiting their response.

Opps! Since they are monobanders, perhaps the labeling got mixed up! I sure would contract Universal ASAP!

--Not an answer to your question, but you could probably put it on Ebay and make a profit, lol. Somebody would think they are worth the extra money, I'm sure. Just curious, since you have a 481, what is its output power?
