Been a Nascar fan for years but lately the races are BORING. I like Kyle Busch and Carl Edwards.

Best thing about NASCAR weekends is that it tends to keep the NN's off the lakes and golf courses...

Well, I decided to give NASCAR another chance since Darlington is only an hour from where I grew up. The girl who live across the street from me had a sister who was married to a car dealer in Darlington and we visited the track several times.
I fell asleep about lap 25 and woke up around lap 100. The announcers were all hyped up about a few cars having scuffed up rear fenders. Heck, back when NASCAR actually raced stock cars, if a car didn't have the "Darlington Stripe" down the side of his car from riding the guard rail in the turns, it was a sure sign he was just turning laps and not serious about his racing.
The wife and I said to heck with it and went to bed.
The Sunday afternoon bull riding was fantastic. Good bulls, good riders, lots of 90+ point scores.

Sounds about right.

Check out your local 'short' tracks. Auto racing is returning to it's Saturday night roots. I fully agree,... 'CUP' racing is akin to IROC. Might as well just let drivers(?) draw numbers for their car. Ya wanna see 'racin'... attend ur local dirt or paved Saturday night show.

Sorry, I don't get a sport that drives around in circles.

And it's not really a sport (something that's not done for a living). Like the Pro categories in any competition, it's a business. The competitors don't get enough prize money to stay competitive. The big money is in sponsorship... which is why brand names are plastered all over their racecars. The ones who win/place/show more often can command more sponsorship dollars.

Why just watch when you can participate? I removed the radio from my car, along with a bunch of other dead weight. I have NO time for playing radio while banging gears, something like this guy:
