Using that balloon photo as a reference, see if you can spot Hara from the plane as you approach. During one of the years I didn't attend, my stepson worked as a theater manager in one of the Dayton suburbs. When my wife and I went to the movies, not only could i count antennas on the cars we passed, I could stand outside the theater and see Hara (and Hamvention) in the distance and wish I was there instead of a chick flick.

I'll certainly try to look for Hara. I will even try to get photos for the documentation thread that I will post.

That is, unless I end up vomiting on the plane. I have not flown much at all. Only a few times. I can stand on the edge of a cliff anf look down several thousands feet while dangling from a rope, but I still can't get past the idea of flying.

For the love of radio LOL.

I just got the ARRL Data from HQ and they have MOVED the Kit building area because now they will have a big DIY stage in the center rear of the ARRL EXPO. This has alotta seats and will feature probably continuous programs on doing this and that. They will publish a schedule shortly of the subjects. So I am not sure if there will be alot of tables and chairs now around the kit building area. That will be on the FAR RIGHT of the ARRL EXPO, which I believe will be the WEST end. (GOTTA COMPASS???). The DIY stage will be in the far SOUTH end of the EXPO. The Stage will probably be about 50 ft from the kit building booth as the EXPO is a large area. So we can still meet there, but just wanted to notify everyone that it is now located in a different place.

I see you're scheduled in Room 3 from 9:15-10:15, Sunday morning. Everybody else's forum lists full names and call signs. But, as Madonna is Madonna, Sting is Sting and Cher is Cher, you're just Pat.

I suggest all zedizens cram the forum.

My name is NOT IMPORTANT! Only that they got my CALL right. Same with DX. The DX doesn't care about my name. All he want is my CALLSIGN for the logbook.
As history passes, I will LONG be forgotten, but my CALLSIGN will live on (providing someone gets if for a Club Call!)

They just have my talk listed as "RADIO RESTORATION". Guess they figure no one will show up anyway Sunday morning, so why bother. Everyone will be at CHURCH Sunday morning instead of the Hamvention! I gotta find an EARLY EARLY Mass, starting at about 6AM somewhere in Dayton so I can get to the Arena on time! I remember one time I tried to give a Sunday program at the ARRL Southwestern Division convention. ONLY SUE showed up!

Suggestion accepted. It will be the best party of the Hamvention other than the hospitality suites.
Get there early for a good seat.
