QRZ.COM members meeting at Dayton!
Many of us who participate in the forums here on QRZ are going to Dayton to enjoy the best hamfest on Earth! It would be nice to put a face to those words we read on the forums so I suggest we find a time and place to meet and greet! I'm guessing that Saturday would be the best time and while I don't want to interfere with any forums, some time and place we need to agree on.
I would suggest 11:30AM Saturday. Where is the question. In or around the ARRL booth seems reasonable as it's pretty big.
Anyone??

Excellent suggestion Bob. The time may move this way or that due to timing of favorite forum presentations, but this thread gives us a place to work that out.
Hey, maybe we Zedders can hire a bus or limo to carry us out to a nice restaurant for lunch Saturday. Sure would beat the same old overpriced crapola the "captive audience" has to eat.

Exactly. The time and place are subject to change depending on readers desires. This is but a starting point to decide.

Having never been before, I will refer to the experts and just meet wherever.

I would recommend making the Meet up a little later. Noonish for lunch at a Restaurant. Everybody could sit down, rest their feet, and eat, along with a little "fellowship"
There's a reasonably priced Mom and Pop called Holley's Home cooking that is easy to find just off the interstate 75 southbound 47 exit.
The way it's laid out the tables in the center aisle could be quickly connected together. (and have been for various "groups")
The 75 south exit curves to the right and they are about a mile down on the right. Easy access back to 75 North. (just make a left out of the lot and keep left. (divided road))
Home made pies, Broasted chicken, Spaghetti... Various sandwiches/Clubs.
Or if somebody wanted a Big Breakfast (served any time). They have a "country special" Sausage/Bacon & Eggs with hash browns or home fries, Side order of Biscuits & sausage gravy, (everythings better with gravy) Toast, or any combination you might want to order.
Plus being a Mom and Pop they can always use the extra business.
I thought I could get rich in the stock market by investing in
Viagra, Geritol, And Ginseng but my stocks didn't rise to the occasion.
Hell, I figured that there was always somebody somewhere either trying to
Get it up
Get it going
or
Trying to remember what to do with it.

The idea of meeting at the League's kit assembly area was floated in another Dayton thread, and that seems to be the best place--IMO. Their Expo takes up about 25% of the East Hall, which makes for plenty of space to accommodate Zedizens.
I don't think leaving Hara environs for lunch is a good idea. That's a lot of bus and/or driving time. And if you drive, you might not have a space to park in when you get back.
Also, if you have never been to Hamvention--or if you need to refresh your HV orientation--I suggest you go to Hamvention.org and follow the links to the booth maps. Hara is a complex of buildings connected by ramps, halls, and corridors and it is quite easy to get lost.

Count me out. No transportation, my ride will be in forums most of the morning until about noon, and I doubt I'd get back in time for my afternoon forums.

I think it would be best to keep it on the grounds rather than leaving, which would take up a bit of time. I also remember another suggesting around the ARRL both in another thread and wasn't the suggested time around 11:30AM or so?? I can't remember. I wonder if Pat is going to be there then working on the kits . . .
