I'm glad to learn it's a bug. That'll save me from wasting any more time trying to fix this myself.

I posted this last week to the Wish List forum on cqrlog.com, in response to another ham who appeared to have a similar program. If he doesn't reply, then I will post again to the Bugs forum.

There was one person there who recently reported that the author was kind of overwhelmed with trying to balance family responsibilities and maintaining CQRlog. I think I ought to give him a little time.

Thank you, Nate (and the others who replied). :-)

The author (Petr) of CQRLog has solved the above issues in a wonderful way.

I can now highly recommend CQRLog version 1.5.1.

I would add that it's worth paying for. He accepts donations in whatever amount.

Just looked up a couple of callsigns (including my own) in CQRLog, and QRZ returns the following error:

    Tag "<Key>" not found!

    Anybody else have this problem?

I am still trying to get it loaded. It loads and then I get an error message but I haven't had time to re-install it yet and it will probably be another week before I can get to it. I am using an Acer Aspire netbook with 10.04 (lucid lynx IIRC).

CQRLog requires Unbuntu 12.04. I forget why, but the reason are nicely explained somewhere on cqrlog.com.

I switched to hamqth.com, since the latest qrz.com database upgrade --like several others in the past-- doesn't work with my paid subscription to the qrz.com database.

For general logging I use cqrlog. For contesting, I use yfktest, JLogger, tqlf, and just recently stumbled upon kb. I also use Fldigi for digital contesting. 73's

CQRLog is only maintained by Petr for Ubuntu 12.04 (and probably then 12.10 going forward) as he has limited time on his hands and
can't maintain repositories for various distributions. Someone is maintaining it for Fedora AFAIK.
You can install CQRLog on any other distribution (used it for a long time on OpenSUSE) as Petr provides the binaries as a tar-ball. Or just
dive into Lazarus and FreePascal and build it from source .
