I agree, PARA is very helpful and going through them is pretty much mandatory.
My XYL's in Cebu, P.I. right now and through most of June visiting family and attending her college class reunion. I've visited three times but not this time.
Most stuff is cheap. I think the Philippine Peso conversion now is about 43p to $1 U.S. dollar, so those "fees" which sound like a lot (such as "500p") actually aren't. 500p is about $12.
