Cheapy PC keying interface using a cheapie USB sound card
Thought folks here might be interested in this cool little project that utilizes one of those buck-fifty USB sound cards to key a rig from your PC or laptop. It's the top article on my blog right now, done by KB7H.

Had to go to your QRZ call look up page to get the blog site information. It's not hard to include it on your posting. I just bought one of these $1.50 USB sound cards to do this project. Sure hope it works as advertised and this isn't a cleaver trick by the Chinese to gain control of our computers.
The blog is located at; http://cloud-warmer.blogspot.com/.
It seems like a good project and what do you have to lose aside from your computer, laptop or tablet.
This could be fun. A $1.50 for a USB sound card sounds too good to be true and I found some were even cheaper. Spooky!!!! Oh, and free shipping, just $1.50 and you're done.

Hi Gary,
Did you see the link contained in my signature? It was right there all the time. Well, I guess the Chinese will only get control of the computers for CW ops, hi!

Uhhhh.....now that you mention it .
Hate it when the link is there but not where I'm used to. Just an old guy set in his ways.
Thanks Casey

Gary,
I would not worry, unless name on USB dongle was SKYNET.

No problem! I now expanded it so it's easier to pick out.

Has anyone given this circuit a try yet? I just found one of those cheap plug-in USB sound cards in my junk box, so may give it a try, but I have several other projects ahead of that one.
