Homemade loading coil no longer needed, was made for experimenting with
loading a vertical antenna at the low HF bands. In the picture you will
see the mounting hardware on the coil. This can be easily removed. It's
hanger tape and some hardware. The coil is well made and supported with
4 grommet strips where the wire was wound and fitted into the notches
of the strips. Adhesive was used to hold the windings and strips together
after the coil was formed.
This coil can be used to load vertical antennas of various lengths across
much of the HF spectrum but probably won't do well for 160M.
4.5" OD, 5.5" tall
42 turns #12 copper
~ 100-108 uH
I have 2 coils total, selling each for $36.00. Would like to sell both coils.
If interested, let's work out a reasonable shipping and payment arrangement.
Nice job! I'm interested in only one.....
