I am a new HAM, and I decided to go with the Kenwood TH-F6A. I have a couple questions regarding antenna's:

1) I bought a Diamond SRH320A that will be on when using it while hiking, etc. but I would like to also have a good mobile antenna in the truck, any suggestions?

2) Also, what about a base antenna? Will that little radio perform any better with a larger base antenna?

3) I got to thinking (and posted a question about it in the antenna forum yesterday) about the life of a SMA connector, meaning how many times, provided I am careful, should I expect to be able to change the antenna on the unit from the Diamond to the mobile to the base? I would assume quite a few times, or am I expecting too much.

Any help/suggestions is much appreciated!!
