    They have never steered me wrong.
    AVG is wrong.

    Sorry.

    AVG may never steer You wrong, But it does not steer you right.

    If it is not MS signed then it is bad ?

    That puts %50 of the software out of reach for You.

    I thought you worked in IT ?

    Please tell me what is wrong with it.

    I guess I did not expect a reply. Maybe You do not know the answer ?

    The only reason that anti Virus programs want you to think that it is a threat, is because they don't want You to know what their software is really doing to your machine. You have been fooled, again.

    Go figure...

    So what's your REAL point? That Microsoft OS and software is perfect, and there are no such things as viruses and malware?

    I don't install "software" or utilities willy-nilly just because it's recommended by even trusted friends. Even they can be "fooled" into thinking some program or utility is the next best thing to sliced bread, and later found to contain malware, trojans, or worse.

    Sorry if my reply wasn't prompt enough, real life tends to interfear from time to time.
    I was on Forty Meters rag chewing for a while then had chores to do.

    Not true;
    I can download lots of non-MS Signed software and I do it all the time.

    For what it's worth AVG has fewer false positives than many other AV programs.
    I'll do it again tomorrow and post a screenshot...

    I understand; I've been dealing with windows for so long I've grown along with the OS and the tools at hand...
