I've previously posted my study guide for the Technician exam, and I now have available a study guide for the General exam. Both books cover the material in the simplest manner possible, and each chapter is followed by the actual questions from the test.

For the most part, these books do not encourage memorization, mostly because memorizing the material is more difficult than simply getting the (very) basic understanding necessary to pass the test.
