    Default Antenna Identification, please.

    Greetings,

Will someone please identify the manufacturer and model of this antenna? I have done a fair amount of looking on the net and have not been able to find it. It's for sale on CL by a homeowner who is not a ham and I was curious about it.

With the "ring" matching network it looks a lot like a CushCraft design probably for "CB". The horizontal antenna with what looks like could be a balun hanging from it makes me wonder if the property was owned by an amateur radio operator or else a serious SWL.

I thought I could get rich in the stock market by investing in
Viagra, Geritol, And Ginseng but my stocks didn't rise to the occasion.
Hell, I figured that there was always somebody somewhere either trying to
    Get it up
    Get it going
    or
Trying to remember what to do with it.

It looks like a Cushcraft Ringo Ranger AR-10 for low-band VHF (30-46 MHz) or 10-meter // CB band.

The 4 radials may have been added by former owner.

I would not trust that specific tower (for climbing).
Did you notice the inverted-V and balun hung below??

    Avanti Sigma AV-170 ?
It may be, since the Avanti did have the 4 radials.

The only way you can tell it is an Avanti AV-170, is close-up photo at feed point and construction,

    versus the Cushcraft AR-10

    Avanti Sigma 5/8 AV-170 ?

    I second that.

They did the ground plane correct, as far as I can tell.
