Default Coaxial Dipole (40M) in attic or on 3ft wood fence in back yard ?

I put together a coaxial dipole for 40M of course my problem is I live in one of those restricted subdivisions.
My question is would I be better off with the antenna disguised on the inside of my wood fence or in the attic
(large attic can strech it out full length)

The higher the antenna the better. I definitely would go with one in the attic.

I started out with a 20 meter and 40 meter dipoles in my attic and both worked ok but got into some of the audio speakers around the house. Moved to a 80 meter dipole on top of my 6' wooden fence and was supprised at the noise reduction and seem to work better than the attic dipoles. I would try them both. Even though my attic dipoles are still in place no are no longer used!

Coaxial as in the method of feeding it or as in double bazooka?

Third possibility: Run a loop around the fence? Would it be longer than 40 meters/130ft?

The decreased electronic noise level from being outside might be more worthwhile than the height gain from an attic installation.

Outside on the fence you'd at least have a great NVIS antenna but what about the possibility of running the wire atop your roof (insulated wire)?

Maybe if done stealthily enough you could mount it a few inches or a foot above the roofline and no one would notice (or say it's for lightning protection). That way you'd be above any house wiring which might be a tad better that inside the attic. Do you know if there's any metal conduit, heating ducts and such in your attic?

While I've never had an attic antenna I am always curious about solutions for restrictive environments and I wish you well with whichever way you go.

The loop idea also sounds good, btw.

Get the dipoles up as high as possible in your attic. I have my 40M dipole in the very top of my attic and that is about 50=55' up and it works well.
