    Default DX spotting

Is there any way to get a 24 hour history for DX spots? I want to use to help me refine what I can work from my QTH.

    Here.

Then click on "DX Spots". You can go back in time to the last 10,000 spots if you wish.

Unless the "spots" were posted by your neighbors, all the spots aren't related to what you can work from your location.

    True.

It's really a conundrum though (location wise) for someone like myself who is "lost in space" quite a bit.

I use that link to study operating habits of certain stations I'm trying to work. I have, on more than one occasion, been able to predict when someone would fire up their first CQ.

True. However, on the subject of DX spots, another good one is the "DX Cluster" on http://www.sk6aw.net/ (click DX-Cluster on the menu).

You can filter the from on here to band and from in you general area. I use this on 6M a lot. http://www.dxwatch.com/

Sometimes when I work a DX station who answers my CQ, they'll say "I'll spot you on the cluster now," and I always reply "Please don't."

I understand people sometimes want instant gratification but you'll never know how much more challenging and enjoyable and what a sense of accomplishment you miss when relying on spotting networks.
