    Default yaesu ft-5100 mic

I have a working ft-5100 with low audio. I tried the cap replacement which would have worked fine if not for my horrible soldering skills. The mic now has no audio, if fact, it's in the trash. Does anyone know of a replacement? Where would someone go to find a used 8 pin mic? I know many other 8 pin mics must work with this rig, i see a ft-5100 for sale on ebay that includes a MH-1B8.
    thanks.

What model number is the stock 5100 mic? I have a FT2500M that had a dead microphone and I got a replacement Yaesu mic for it. I think the 5100 has the same mic as the 2500M does, if so what I used on the 2500M should work on your 5100..

Oops never mind I forgot the 5100 had the round plug vs the RJ type plug on the 2500.
