    Frank V. Madaffore died Wednesday, March 28, 2012, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. He was 83. Born in New Brunswick, he had lived in North Brunswick for over 60 years. Mr. Madaffore had worked for 30 years as an electrical engineer for Brown Boveri Corporation in North Brunswick prior to his retirement. His hobbies include being a soloist, entertainer & keyboardist for "The Big Sound." He was also a ham radio operator and enthusiast, which led to his career. His ham radio hobby took him from being a novice licensee using a one tube transmitter built on a pie tin to a holder of a general class license and a home station that contacted all continents.

    He was predeceased by his first wife, Dorothy M. Madaffore. Surviving are his second wife, Theresa Voo and his two daughters, Patricia Paone and her husband Robert Jantelle of North Brunswick and Lorraine Puglia of Bristol, Pennsylvania.

    Cremation was private. A memorial service will be 4:00 PM Sunday at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home Sunday from 3 PM until the time of the service.
