Will this keep the bumpers and door panels from falling off? VW has a long way to go in quality control before I ever buy another one.

There was a Lexcen dealership here in Adelaide that had a spotless workshop.
It was completely tiled in white tiles, with not a drop of anything that shouldn't have been there on the floor, the tools were spotless as were the mechanics overalls.

All too often American industry - indeed, American culture - refuses to adopt something that is successful elsewhere, because we didn't think of it first. I think this really took off after WW2, because "we won the war". (Conveniently forgetting that the Brits were way ahead in jet engines and microwave radar, the Germans in rockets, etc.)
