Avvid wont look at it because he says he cant get parts for it. I think the top variable cap was damaged in shipping. looks like the shaft was pushed back and some plates were touching. I tried to bend them without much luck. The units watt and swr seem to work in bypass mode, but lookout if you switch to the tuned. I dont want to burn up the TS-520SE trying to get this to work.. Any other ideas.

If the cap plates are jammed together, not much can be done, unless you can move the whole shaft to get it centered again.

If it was shipped insured, Maybe the shippers insurance would pay for the damage.

The variable capacitors in the AT-200 are 300pfd units rated at 1.5Kv and 2Kv. Not sure which one you're having trouble with but the one that is a bit smaller than the other will be the 1.5Kv unit. You can look up variable capacitor vendors on the net. Such as http://www.surplussales.com/Variable...s/AirVar1.html.
Maybe you can get something that will fit. The TS-520SE is capable of tuning into a wider range of antenna impedance then the modern solid state stuff. You may not even need the AT-200. That would depend on your antenna system you have.
    Hope this helps
