    Hilliard T. "Hill" Grant, 89, a lifelong resident of Beach Haven, died Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012, at Deborah Heart and Lung Center, Browns Mills. Son of the late Roland and Margaret (Crane) Grant, Mr. Grant retired from RCA after a long career as a Master Technician at their Marmora and Pleasantville sites. A veteran of the Army Air Corps, he was a member of the 451st Bombardment Group during WWII. Mr. Grant was a ham radio operator (call sign WX2M) since 1984, and was a member of the Old Barney Amateur Radio Club. He was a member and past president of the Beach Haven First Aid Squad and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed oil painting, stained glass, and radio controlled airplanes.

    He was predeceased by his wife, the former Elizabeth Marcinowski; his son, Wayne; his son-in-law, Dwight Serbek; a grandson, Nicholas; and two brothers, Roland and Benjamin. Surviving are his daughters, Sheila Horner and her husband Kenneth of Forked River, and Anna Serbek of Beach Haven; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

    Private cremation was entrusted to the Maxwell Funeral Home, 573 Mill Creek Road, Manahawkin. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 2, 2012 at the Long Beach Island Museum, Engleside Avenue, Beach Haven. In lieu of flowers, a donation to LBI Museum or Deborah Heart and Lung Hospital, in Mr. Grant's name would be appreciated.
