The Baja Net is on 40m (7.238) at 8:00 AM local time. The Sonrisa Net is on 75m (3.968) at 6:30 AM local time. They are both very close to where you are (probably 400-500 miles) and as such you'd want a fairly high angle of radiation. A horizontal dipole is almost guaranteed to work better for these than the vertical.
