    Default Mobile Hf Power Cable

I've been looking for wire to run power from the battery to the radio in my car. I've looked online, at auto parts stores, radio shack, etc. The cheapest I found was $18 for 25' of wire. (I need about 10' run of 2 wires.)

Today I was at the gas station and saw some jumper cables with 12 ft of 10 gauge wire for $15. If I cut the clips off of the end and replaced them with ring terminals and Anderson power poles, would this wire work for a mobile installation?

PM me. I have several pieces of #12 or #10 black/red zip cord left over from some installs I can hook you up with free gratis.

I just dug through the crap pile. I have about 7 feet of #10 and about 10 feet of #12.

While wire is more costly these days, $18 for 25 feet is a bit high at ≈ .70¢ per foot. I recent purchased 100 feet of siamesed #8 for just $59. It pays to shop.
