    The world we live in today is a whole lot smaller than it used to be.

    Funny how they feared and attempted to censor ordinary information from leaking into other countries through conversations taking place via radio. Seems to have been a form of authoritarian control and suppression of sorts.

    ...Guess they never heard of the internet yet, but it must have been very interesting times for shortwave radio listeners.

    A heyday for the professionally paranoid. They should have spent all that time listening in on their neighbor just to the east.
