    Default comet-uhv-6

    i inherated a comet uhv-6 no manual or parts list and am very perplexed cause i have 3 additional coils but none match the mfg's codes.like L3 is for 3.5 but i have a L7,L21,L28. L7 i am presuming is for all hf modes,but what are L21and L28 used for and how do they configure on the antenna are the mounted horizontal to one another (_) or(V) or ? need help please!

    L21 = 21Mhz
    L14 = 14Mhz, etc.....

    You can mount elements horizontally or vertically. Note, the manual does not recommend using the 80m element while car is in motion. It is relatively heavy. I recommend putting some Loctite on the antenna set screws since vibration works them loose. In any case check them regularly so nothing falls off. Also recommend tune each element individually before using several at a time.

    Thank you KB4QAA, now that makes alot of sense! really appreciate it.everyone i talked to had no idea.
