Wouldn't it make more sense to "discuss" this here?

I use CQRlog when running Linux or MacloggerDX when on the Mac.

Why would a someone using a log for contacts most all HF ones only want to go to Echolink a 2m repeater site where no one ever logs anything???

Here is the proper place for the discussion and I use Logic9 the most advanced logger on the market bar none.

I use CQRLog on Linux and DX Lab on Windows.
Both free and both work just as well with the same features as the ridiculously priced programs on the market.

    Fred ,
Sounds like someone trolling for preselected answers .
I am going through the maze of LOTW , kinda the same as the question here ,
Set up to only gather specific replies , it seems that LOTW could be less of an issue to set ?
I am a causal logger at home , but play with club stations , like today .
I am reading this post to see if some of my questions are addressed .

I use DXKeeper and the DXLab Suite for my primary logging, spotting and rig control -- free, powerful and great.

I use various N3FJP programs for contest logging -- have to pay, but well worth it.

There are any number of logging programs out there some free some not free.
As long as it does what you want it to do then that is all that is needed.
Download a few free programs and some of the trial programs for the ones that cost $$ and see what you think.
I use Logger32 now. It is free, support is excellent. I used to use ACLog but quit using it back in Sept. It is getting pretty outdated and left behind.
With what is out there for free, I see no reason to spend any money on one.
I use N1MM for contest logging.
The DXlabs suite is very popular. So is the logging in Ham Radio Deluxe. Probably others are too.

LOTW is not a logging program but is a system for confirming contacts for various awards sort of like eQSL is (for what that is worth).
LOTW has some hoops to jump through but if (and this is a BIG if) you follow directions should be no problem to set up.
Basically it saves on the costs of QSLing over the long haul.

You may be aware of all that but someone else reading may not be.

I am not sure what questions you have other than the less of an issue to set comment.

    Michael ,
Thanks for the info , I haven't used it yet , and had some idea that is wasn't logging software .
As for questions and staying on subject , how about which programs can work together or not , transfer data from one to another ?
I remember that something about LOTW not accepting from some sources ?
I do paper logs , and put some contacts on either on the ZED or eQSL , now that I am accumulating , I am wandering about filling in / or compiling ?
But the biggest issue is going to be getting all those pieces of paper together & putting in a program
