 What temperature do you keep your house at in the winter?
We keep our house at 78 to 80. I'm a freezebaby plus I keep reptiles so we need it warm anyway. When I was younger I lived in a lot of cold houses and I hated it, really, you might as well live in an igloo if you aren't going to keep it warm inside.

Whatever the outside temperature is.
When I was in San Antonio it was between 65 and 70 depending if I set the thermostat or if my roommate did. She liked it warm...
Truthfully I would have been happy if it was in the low sixties.

Living in Poverty, we have NO HEAT WHATSOEVER in the house. No fireplaces, no stoves, no NUTTIN!
But then we are in SAN DIEGO, where it doesn't GET COLD!!!
But it can get abit chilly on midwinter nights. We just pile on extra blankets.
Plus, we have 2 very WOOLY Cats to keep the bed warm.
I LOVE winter!!! LESS SPIDERS!!!!

If I've got the wood furnace going, I can usually maintain low 70s with no problems off wood heat alone.

If it's just the Oil Heat, 68F. Get those wood stoves running (there's 2 in a 1400 Sq Ft house) and I have had it into the 80's. I start opening windows then and turning down the blowers that force the air over the stoves. Doesn't take long to cool off when it's -5 outside.
