I'm SURE you can get a 6 ft piece of aluminum tubing and some hardware store brackets and a piece of coax and a few connectors for less then 120 bucks plus shipping !!!
    That's all this antenna is.

    What space/environment do you have?

A wire from a window to a tree with a small tuner would do better than this...

What's the detail about the lot?

I have a small lot that had nothing to hang a wire from, either, which is why I installed a tower, and then a shorter tower on the roof, and then masts, and then...

I've never seen a "lot with nothing to use to hang an antenna," especially if the lot has a house on it, with a roof.

No towers/antennas allowed.....so need to have something that does not attract much attention. I think for the time being I will just run some wire around. Looks like this antenna might not be worth the money

Are you at your QRZ.com address? That one shows a tree on every single lot there, including the address listed....

I have one tree - it is about as tall as my house and close to it. It has a lot of branches that are close together - I would not be able to get any rope up far into the tree

That's a bit sad...try some wire anywhere you can put it!

Looks like a mobile home community. We have one fairly near here up in the hills with incredible views of the L.A. skyline and all the surrounding valleys (it's at least 1000' above average terrain for the area) and no outside antenna restrictions at all. In fact, there are towers in there (hams and CBers) and I'll bet they do very well: http://summitmobilecommunity.com/

YEs it is a mobile home community. We are at the top of a hill and years ago I had a 2 meter antenna up - ab out 5' above the roof. I will probably stick about a 5' mast up and run something off of that. I have a 50' long end fed antenna I bought off of ebay for my FT-817 that I might run off of that. Should work for SW if I am lucky. We will be plan on buying a house in town by next summer so will have a lot more options then
