    I had an assistant manager at a radio station who called it "waxing the elephant" ( as opposed to waxing eloquent, that is, in case you did not "get it" ) !

    " Oh there he goes, 'waxing the elephant', again! " .
    Ham Radio, Amateur Astronomy, and Model Airplanes - what better way to spend some time!
