HP-1740A Oscilloscope
HP equipment is the standard by which most other gear is judged. The HP-1740A series of 'scopes was the last generation of pure analog scopes HP produced. The HP-1740A is a 2-channel (with trigger view feature) 100 MHz scope. HP developed a custom trigger IC that was used in several series of scopes that makes this scope trigger stably on very low level signals out to the full 100 MHz bandwidth of the scope.
I am offering an HP-1740A (Option 001) scope for sale, serial number 1632A03XXX. This scope has been refurbished, all seven CCA's removed and inspected for burns, rotted capacitors and broken solder joints. It was then aligned and tested at over 70 inspection points as called out in the HP Operating and Maintenance Manual.
The screen is sharp and bright - no burns. The flood gun for the internal graticle is bright and uniform. It is physically clean - very little finger goo or lab crud on it. The rear feet are long gone - they usually didn't last over a year in lab service. PayPal price is $145 plus UPS Ground shipping and insurance.
