Just wanted to remind everyone that as we get closer to Christmas, shipping times are probably going to stretch out a bit. Not to worry, it will get there but it may take a bit longer.
Thanks,

You then connect a cable from the interface to the microphone connector on your radio, and an audio cable from the external speaker jack on your radio to the interface. Then two more audio cables from the interface to your computer. In your case I would recommend you purchase the complete unit with microphone connector, (34.95) plus the 13.95 shipping. This is a plug and play system which would have you on the air in 5 minutes on any sound card digital mode including rtty, msstv, psk, even cw using fldii. Thanks for your email.
Another method for the TS-520S and TS-520SE, there are audio in and out "phone patch" RCA connectors that would be even a better/simpler method of interfacing the Kenwood to the "Easy Digi".

Good Idea but you still have to pick-up the PTT Line somewhere.

Or use VOX?

VOX???
We have proposed a vox activated unit several times with many poo poos as being "obsolete", or "old school" Technology. Would be very easy to do with this unit by just leaving off the PTT optocoupler and associated components. Would be willing to market that if there is a demand.

We are now offering a USB to RS-232 adapter to go with this interface for those who have computers that do not have a serial port. These adapters have been tested on win-xp, xp-pro, vista, and win-7 and work on all of them. Price is $7.18 when purchased with an interface.
Thanks and have a Merry Christmas

I have a TS2000 and don't want to tie up my mic jack, What about using the 13 pin ACC connector on a TS2000 ?? It seems to have all audio in/out as well as PTT... everything you need that other digital interfaces are able to use...

We can and have done that - same price, same delivery.

Got my unit custom wired for my TS-2000, works great... Fast courteous service from Clifford, I highly recommend this unit as a cost effective way to get into digital modes !! Would also make a great kit if they would ever consider selling them UN-assembled since I love to solder and put things together...
