No, we didn’t re-invent the wheel, we just made a convenient, single board, isolated, digital interface that works for almost all of the digital modes on HF and VHF/UHF. Works with DIGIPAN, FLDIGI, MTTY, MMSSTV and most all other sound card programs! Work PSK-31, PSK-63, RTTY, SSTV, NBEMS, plus many other modes on your HF or VHF/UHF rig. We build these daily in our home shop/shack.

We have sold over 50 of these interface boards and assemblies on EBAY in the past 2 months with 100% positive feedback from users. We have sold to Australia, Brazil, United Kingdom, Canada, and the U.S.A., all with great feedback. We are still listing on ebay so go to ebay and do a search for “EASY DIGI”, and look at our feedback.

Nothing new about this technology, it consists of two 600 ohm line transformers for audio input and output from your pc to your transceiver, and an opto-coupled push to talk circuit that works off of an RS-232 port on your computer.

    • Transformer coupled audio eliminates ground loops and AC hum on your signal
    • Opto Coupled push to talk circuit also eliminates ground loops and false triggering of your PTT lines.
    • Very small size, only 2 1/16” x 1 3/8” x .625” high, can be incorporated inside of many radios, with only your RS-232 cable coming outside of the radio.
    • Weighs less than 3 ounces.
    • High quality FR-4 double sided, solder masked, silk screened, Printed Circuit Board.
    • Compatible with most modern ham radio transceivers.
    • If you wish to not use the serial port for PTT, you can just use the audio channels and key your radio via VOX operation.
    • Compatible with most USB to Serial port adapters for use on laptops and other computers that do not have serial ports.
    • 100% American made, nothing imported, high quality FR-4 double sided, plated through, solder masked, printed circuit board.

    These interfaces have been tested on Kenwood TS-120, TS-530, TS-570, TS-930SAT, TS-820, TR-7400A, TR-7850, TS-50, TM-261A, TM-G707A, ICOM IC-2100H, IC-746PRO, IC-706MKIIG, YAESU FT-817, FT-857, FT-2800, Elcraft K2, Alnico DX-77, and many other radios.

Simply hook up per the enclosed wiring diagram and load your software, configure your com port, turn on the radio and have fun on your favorite digital mode!

Priced at $15.95 Plus shipping, a value that’s hard to beat.

    Also available:

The wired and assembled version requires 3 1/8” audio cables (NOT INCLUDED).

If your radio uses an RJ-45 mic connector then there is no additional charge or wait time. Default EASY DIGI

Hi (1) I wish to use your gadget for my Kenwood TS 520SE digital modes ( is it possible??) (2) TS520SE does not have any RS232 port or for that matter any kind of port which can directly used to interface with computer (3) To use digital modes on TS520SE, I have to make use of Phone patch in and Headphone Jack Is it possible for you to study the problem and find a solution to make TS520SE work on all kinds of Digital modes including SSTV. What would be the cost + shipping charges to India - please consider that I have to bear extra cost in terms of shipping hence would appreciate if the equipment cost is bare minimum 73 VU2CDW

Hi, yes, you can use this interface with a kenwood ts-520SE. The RS-232 Cable connects to your computer, not your radio. You then connect a cable from the interface to the microphone connector on your radio, and an audio cable from the external speaker jack on your radio to the interface. Then two more audio cables from the interface to your computer. In your case I would recommend you purchase the complete unit with microphone connector, (34.95) plus the 13.95 shipping. This is a plug and play system which would have you on the air in 5 minutes on any sound card digital mode including rtty, msstv, psk, even cw using fldii. Thanks for your email.

Will this work with the ICOM IC-7000?

It seems like it should, but maybe you'd like to answer "for the record". =)

Sure it will work with the IC-7000, just gotta download the manual to get the right pinouts.
    Thanks for the question.

I got both the Yaesu FT-101F and the ZD Mark 0. Will the unit work both rigs, not at the same time and can the complete hookups be pre-wired by you?

E-Mail me with costs and preferred payment options other than PAY PAL. I do not use Pay Pal. KD4OVM@QRZ.COM

    Default Nice set up

This device looks like it could just about interface with anything. Nice job of putting it all together. Think I am going to mark your comments and get one of them from you for the radios I have here. 73 de John WA8LGM

We have just received our 2nd lot of 120 circuit boards - have sold 100 of these now.
We are now offering the interface's with or without a USB to RS-232 adapter. The adapters have been tested for compabibility with Windows XP, XP-PRO, VISTA, and Windows-7. Just go to Ebay ham radio category and search for EASY DIGI.
Thanks to all who have made this little interface a success so far.

Bummer -- no PTT triggered from the audio for radios with no VOX and for use with things that don't have a serial port.
