    Dear fellow hams,

Someone has stolen my identity and has used it to steal from one ham and try and steal from at least 2 others He is in England and his email is Timothy Parsons <tparsons@blumail.org>. He asks people to Western Union the money in British Pounds. This is not me and he is NOT legit! DO NOT SEND HIM ANY MONEY!

I'm so sorry for this and hate that hams have been stolen from and hate the damage this might do to my reputation. I have alway tried to be honest in all my dealings with fellow hams.

Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help

    Tim:

Sorry this has happened to you, and the guys who were ripped off.
Have any of them reported the scrimes to the Internet Crime Compplaint Center?
    www.ic3.gov/ Videos
The Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) is a partnership between the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the National White Collar Crime Center (NW3C), and the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA).

Also, has anyone done an IP Address trace on that email: tparsons@blumail.org ?
Just because he SAYS he's in the UKand wants payment in GBP (UK Pounds) doesn't
mean he is in the UK. Western Union's "Money In Minutes" Transfer Service can
be picked up by the designated receiver anywhere, so long as he has the
MTCN. (Money Transfer Control Number). And UK Pounds are "hard currency" that can
be used anywhere in the world. (i.e. West Africa)
