Decoding JT65a in MultiPSK
I've finally decided to try JT65a and am using MultiPSK ver.4.17. I started out watching contacts to see how things actually worked. Everything was decoding fine. I had gotten a feel for how things worked and was ready to jump in and get my feet wet. At this point in time, I feel I must have deactivated something in the program because I can no longer decode anything in JT65a in MultiPSK. The program will decode anything else, but JT65. I'm hoping someone out there knows what I might have done to make MultiPSK stop decoding this particular mode. I have had rock solid, very strong signals that won't decode.
Thanks for any help in advance,
Del, AD7KI

Hi all...
First off.....sometimes its a timing issue..if your computer clock is not accurate by less than say 3s then it wont decode.......Not sure of your problem though...
Have you tried the dedicated software for jt65a is much easier to understand and the layout is clean and simple.... JT65-HF

Thank you, John, I will entertain that as well. I appreciate you reply.

John,
As you mentioned, timing is everything. I resynchronized the PC clock and everything is sunshine and lollypops! Thanks for the info. I did also download JT65 HF and will try it out also.
Again, many thanks!

How did you resynchronzie? Most download Dimensions 4 and it runs in the background to resynchronize your clock auto. They say the one in windows does not work correctly what I was told. Have fun with JT65 I about pulled my hair out trying to figure it out

hi Steve-
I've used "D4" for many years with Windows ME,95,98se.. After purchasing a Win7 pc (and installing D4 directly to the C: drive), D4 had some sync latency issues.. The Win7 laptop syncs were often off by over 2 seconds or so (even with "closer" NIST servers).
I tried "Chronos"(chronosatomic) for a few months. This is a good multi-server nist sync program. It has a "nag"pop up screen if you don't upgrade the basic program.
Now I'm running "BktTimeSync" de IZ2BKT.. This program is free, and the Win7 machine is very happy with it. Sync corrections (every 15mins +-) are averaging about 250ms! This is great for jt65a,b,iscat modes etc.
I can shoot a few "WSJT(all modes)" or "JT65-hf" tips out, if someone needs help.. Just send me an email.
