Alinco DR 600

Hi I have an Alinco and it does not hold it's programed memory. I have already changed the lithium memory battery and it works until I power the rig down then upon power on it has lost any frequencies I had programed.

Can anyone help on this?

*check to make sure you installed the memory batt with the correct polarity.

*Using your DMM, measure the DC voltage across the memory battery while the battery is still connected and in circuit. Should read pretty close to the memory cell's rated voltage when new.

*Check your connections on the battery carefully to make sure they are good.

*If rig has removable front panel, clean those connections.

These are just starting point tests that may solve the problem without getting deeper into the thing. should be done first.
