FT-950 and al-811h amplifier

I purchased a al-811h amplifier to work with my Ft-950 also the yaesu cable looking for some help to wire the amp and the ft-950 looking at the wire diagram in the ft-950 manual i only useing pin 2 and pin 9 is this right????........send email to N9GGG@ARRL.NET.........thanks

I have the very same set-up. The very easiest thing to do is to jump on ebay. There are several vendors of the cables for $20-$30 or so. With and without ALC control. I bought the one with ALC control, it was plug and play. Just need to adjust the ALC on the back of the amp.

If you are using the 10-pin DIN plug to control the amp then yes. Pin 2 and 3 for key relay, and 9 and 3 for ALC.
