B has got to be gun laying/director for the main armament - just because its on the optical director and thats the logical place!

Doubtful... Belfast was decomissioned long before the advent of Phalanx or similar systems. It's more likely they are tubs for a single or double 20mm Oerlikon cannon. These were widely used as anti-aircraft weapons during WWII and after. I know they were still in service when I joined the Navy in 1965..

I think H is the "Huff-Duff" or HF direction finder, used for triangulating on U-boat report signals.

Thank you for that picture. Ships make worthy photographic objects because, as Conrad said, "Nothing can deface the beauty of a ship." As a ham, I say, nothing can deface the beauty of such an antenna farm. Had I the money, I'd have such a mast, array and assortment.
Her signal flags show, on the inner halyard C35; on the outer, GGCN--which, I assume, is her HM naval call sign. C35 may be a fleet signal, I suppose, but I'm neither British nor tar to understand it.
