My rig is an Icom IC-756 Pro using XGGCOMMS digi cable. With that said here comes.
Want to setup my station to be used remotely. Currently using Ham Radio Deluxe in the shack, and it has been working great. My internet connection is 4mb down/512KB up. I've read that I need to use Skype if I want to do voice, others say they use other methods, but dont elaborate. New rigs these days come with all the software and perks needed to do this things. What about old rigs? Can this be done??
I have looked around and nothing seems to be the same as being in front of the radios. Right now I use logmein.com (very slow..), but can only do digital modes. What about phone? I have tried to RDP into my pc, but after some time the screen stops refreshing, logmein works better with how i am configured right now. My pc is a custom P4 2.4qc Windows 7 64bit w/6gb of ram. I would like any advice/suggestions on this subject.
Hope i posted this in the right place.
