    Default HRO restore

    Hi all,
I have a 1936 HRO, no suffix. Have just stripped it and changed just about every resistor and capacitor, it is working nicely now and remarkably stable too ! Been listening to Gander Radio this evening on USB, no problems holding the signal. I got four coilpacks with it and three have been retrimmed but the general coverage 3.5 to 7.3 pack does not have any dial to frequency chart on the front. Now just to check it out I have set the dial reading of 250 to 5.505 MHz (Shannon Volmet). I need somebody to give me an idea of what the frequency approx; should be on a dial reading of 250 divisions. Tnx in advance. TED.

This will get you close. It's for a HRO-5 but the coilsets are interchangeable between the original HRO and the HRO-5. http://bama.edebris.com/manuals/national/hro5coildial/
