    Default IC-7000 and External Monitor

    Since the subject radio will operate with an external 7" LCD monitor, I wonder if it will "drive" a full size LCD flat and what would be needed to make this work...

    Some IC-7000 user groups;

    Someone in one of them would probably know.

    As long as your TV/LCD has the standard A/V input (yellow/red/white -- where yellow=video) you're good to go. I switch mine between an 8" portable DVD player and a 27" LCD TV.

    The 8" DVD player I picked up off of my local Craigslist. The DVD mechanism is shot, but can input the video just fine. Great purchase for $10 (or $15, don't remember).
